Is “restoration of ovarian function or ovarian reserve” possible after ovarian surgery?

We read the prospective study by Chang et al. (1) regarding the effect of ovarian surgery on ovarian reserve with great interest. We read the article by Dziunycz et al. (1) with great interest. The aims of the study were to evaluate ghrelin concentrations in the peritoneal fluid of women with endometriosis and of control women without pelvic pathology and its associations with the levels of proinflammatory cytokines and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). Microdose flare versus antagonist for poor responders

To the Editor:

We read with interest the article by Demirol et al. (1) which concluded that microflare leuprolide was superior to GnRH antagonist for poor responders. It is difficult to make such a conclusion because of the very high amount of hMG used. Each 75 IU vial of hMG contains about 10 IU of hCG, which is the predominant source of its LH-like activity.
